Interventional Pain Specialist

About

Dr. Daniel Dat Nguyen is the newest ACGME accredited member of the Institute of Precision Pain Medicine team and main physician at our Baytown, TX location.  He treats with a well-rounded philosophy which encompasses Osteopathic Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), and interventional chronic pain management.  Quality of life through improvement of the mind, body, and spirit is a core principle that guides the way he treats.

Dr. Nguyen began his medical training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he was chosen to be an undergraduate fellow to teach Osteopathic manipulation techniques and principles to the student physicians.  After completing an internship at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Pennsylvania he traveled down to the great state of Texas to further his education in residency at the Baylor College of Medicine PM&R program.  There he was able to train with great mentors to care for patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular, spinal cord, and brain injuries.  He took care of many of these patients at the Texas Institute of Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR) which was recently deemed as a national innovation center by Congress. His fellowship in interventional chronic pain management was completed at the University of Texas Medical Branch in facilities such as MD Anderson, Shriners pediatric burn unit, UTMB League City, and Galveston.

Dr. Nguyen is passionate about helping his patients manage their pain and improve function. From meditation and physical therapy to the most cutting-edge treatments such as spinal cord stimulators or intrathecal drug delivery, he is ready to help you on a road towards a better quality of life.

In his spare time Dr. Nguyen enjoys rock climbing, running around with his two Boston terriers, and eating his wife’s homemade Japanese food.
